Ballin' for a Cause is a free, informal flag football game and community charity drive that One by 1, Inc. hosts every year to benefit a local organization.
Every year, we hope to strengthen community ties and foster peaceful relationships between all members of the community and members of law enforcement by offering a safe space for all to come together... the football field! Ballin' for a Cause creates an opportunity for community members and protectors to interact recreationally and constructively via sports, fostering relationship building that--in light of recent national events--is needed in communities throughout the United States. Ballin’ for a Cause is also a charitable event. This year, we extended the fruit of community teamwork by collecting new toys and books for Children's Hospital Foundation. We aimed to increase our numbers and exceed previous years' donation stats (see the ScoreCenter to the right) and bring smiles to the faces of our youth. (We are still collecting items and will provide the final numbers once collection ends.) THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SPREAD THE WORD, DONATED, AND CAME OUT TO SUPPORT BALLIN' FOR A CAUSE 2015!
